“Be Her Dignity” is an initiative of the Colour Sisterhood, which exists to raise money for the Northern Ugandan child soldiers. The Ugandan Rebels took child female soldiers and used disfigurement as a method of torture, and to prevent them from running away, many of these children have had their noses, lips and ears cut off and see in the mirror everyday a reminder of the nightmare they have lived. It costs only $3000 to restore someone’s smile and give back their dignity.
