ENLARGE 2020

Thank you to everyone who has faithfully been part of our Enlarge giving over the years, and welcome to any one new. Together we paid off our building in 2018 and in 2019 launched a vision to replace our old kids hall with a bigger multipurpose centre for Kids and our community, and a lovely cafe and deck we can all enjoy. Part of this vision also included a chapel to create a traditional space for worship, weddings and funerals.

A development application is currently with council for this project.

In 2020, understanding it is a hard time for many financially, we are not holding a traditional offering. For those who are in a position to give and would like to continue contributing we gratefully welcome that, but also release you to take the opportunity to rest your building giving.

We will pause the building of our next project by about 12 months, to ensure we are strong financially before commencing construction. It will also give us time to fine tune the plans.

Giving details and further information below.

‘For I know your willingness… your zeal stirs up the majority….

If you would like to give a gift ahead of time, prepare it before hand…

If you had previously promised, have it ready as a matter of generosity not as an obligation.’

2 Corinthians 9:2-12

BUILDING UPDATE

OUR BACKYARD

Thanks to a Stronger Communities Grant we have new demountables currently being installed for ‘‘Our Backyard’ homeless guests, providing a new shower, toilet and kitchen. This is also good news because the current demountables are rented facilities. Owning these new facilities will bring down program costs, and improve services. Being portable buildings we can move them as our property evolves.

New Building Plans in council

Plans are currently in council for our new multipurpose center and chapel.
