Connect & Gather
Join us for a relaxed morning of fellowship, open to everyone over 60. We meet in the Cafe to sing a couple of our favourite hymns, share Communion, hear from an engaging guest speaker, and enjoy a delicious light lunch together. If you're looking for company, friendship and community, this is the place for you.
When: First Tuesday of the month, 10am to 12.30pm
Cost: Gold Coin donation
Art for Fun
Looking to try something new? Come to the Cafe and discover your hidden talents in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment. No experience is needed. Our artists, Wilma and Wynette, offer individual guidance in either watercolours or acrylics, and all equipment is supplied.
When: Third Wednesday of the month, 10am to 12pm
Cost: $5 per session
Macquarie Life Choir
Do you love to sing and worship through music? Our choir welcomes men and women of all ages, with current members ranging from 25 to 85. Under the musical direction of Wynette, the choir sings a variety of styles, with separate training provided for sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. We sing at occasional community events and at special moments in our church services.
When: Thursdays, 4.30pm to 6pm
Where: Downstairs in Lecture Room 3
Cost: $40 annual fee, covers uniform, music and extras
Bible Study
A Bible study designed especially for seniors. Each session includes an informative video followed by table discussion, with a light home study component that supports the video teaching. It's a refreshing approach, ideal for those who would like to dip in and out rather than commit to a deeper course of study. Everyone is welcome, and tea and coffee are served on arrival from 9.30am.
When: Fourth Tuesday of the month, 10am to 12pm
