PARKING - Because there is limited car parking on the church grounds, members of the team are requested to park in the NHS car park when serving on Sunday mornings. This is to allow less mobile and young families to have priority.  It is ok to unload equipment in the driveway and then move your car. On Sunday nights please park in back carpark behind the hall.

MAC CREW ART AFTERNOON - Creative program for primary school aged children meeting monthly on Wednesday afternoon for Art. Helpers also needed – why not volunteer to train our younger generation.

DRESS CODE

At Macquarie Life Church we love and celebrate individual style and flair rather than uniformity, and our aim is to reflect God with excellence both inside and out. The following is a dress guideline for those who serve on the platform:

  • Does what I am wearing represent God well?  Does what I’m wearing draw attention to me or distract those I am leading?

  • If I raise my hands how does this affect what I’m wearing?

  • The stage is raised. People are sitting ‘below’ you & look up

  • Be mindful of health and safety. Clothing, footwear and personal hygiene should not create a hazard for yourself or others.

  • Considered inappropriate: Midriff tops, singlets, tracksuit, transparent or revealing clothing, underwear showing and thongs

If there is immediate danger it may be prudent to resolve the problem straight away.

FACILITY & EQUIPMENT STEWARDSHIP

Our facilities are a sacred trust from the Lord for the purpose of ministry. The way in which we treat the ‘House’ is often a reflection of our attitude toward God. If truly everything we do should glorify God, the same is true of the rooms in which we minister.

Therefore, the following guidelines are being established to help keep our ministry rooms in a state that brings glory to God and demonstrates that He is worthy of our best.

The green room, the amber room and stage areas are to be respected and kept as tidy as possible.

A FEW GUIDELINES TO KEEP IN MIND:

  • Put things back where you found them

  • Do not leave out-dated materials lying around or left on the walls

  • The room should look neat when you leave. If items are left out, leadership will determine what to do with them.

  • The cleaners will do a general clean but please try to leave the room with all the chairs and tables neat or packed away if that is how they are meant to be.

  • Remove all food scraps from rooms and empty full bins at the end of each session into wheelie bins located outside the office under the stairs and at the rear of the church.

  • When you leave, look over the room and ask yourself, "Is there anything I can do to make it look improved?" Also, it is wise to ask, "Does the appearance of this room speak well of the ministry and church to visitors?"

  • Turn off all lights and air conditioners

  • Take water bottles with you and throw out in bins provided

EQUIPMENT

  • Value all equipment as though you paid for it yourself

  • Always use equipment as it was designed to be used

  • Put all items and resources away properly after using them

  • Hang up or fold away costumes after use

  • If you accidentally break something, please notify the team leader so we can arrange to repair or replace it

  • Ask Creative Director before taking any equipment off-site or borrowing for personal use

  • If you notice something out of place please return it to where it belongs

  • Respect the equipment that belongs to other team members

  • Take responsibility for your own equipment

  • Only authorised and trained persons are to operate the EWP

CODE OF CONDUCT

The way you behave reflects your commitment to the values of Macquarie and the environment you serve in. As a platform serving team the creatives adopt the code of conduct for leaders including:
