The purpose of life in the Bible is focused on glorifying God, loving Him and others, and finding eternal life through Jesus Christ. It's about knowing God, experiencing His joy, and participating in His redemptive work as Christ's ambassadors.
Key Purposes:
• Glorifying God: The goal is to bring honour and praise to God in all
aspects of life, reflecting His image and goodness.
• Loving God & Neighbour: Jesus taught the greatest commandments are to love God fully and to love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). The word ‘neighbour’ refers to any person (whom you like or dislike).
• Eternal Life & Joy: The New Testament offers "words of eternal life," promising true, lasting joy found not in worldly pleasures but in God Himself.
• The Great Commission: Believers are called to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). This was not added into the verses above as it is implied. If you are in a relationship with the Living God, wouldn’t you want all your friends and relatives to know the same love?
• Living Righteously: This involves obeying God, loving others, showing compassion (feeding the hungry, visiting the sick), and desiring to live in fellowship with God.
In essence, life's purpose is a divine calling to know, enjoy, and glorify God, finding meaning through faith in Jesus and serving others to bring them into that same relationship.
Your relationship with Jesus is founded on belief only as described in Romans 10:5. You can’t earn it and there is nothing else required but the belief that Jesus died in your place. He took your punishment! So as a response, what will you do for Him?

Prayer
Dear God, thank you for being the creator and ruler of the Universe. Please teach me your ways and help me understand your desires so that I will glorify you in all that I do. Help me to love my rulers, leaders, co-workers, friends and family as you want them to be loved. Lead me to be forgiving, patient and kind in your power so that I will glorify you.
