12. Who is Jesus Christ?

Discussion
Previously, we have explored who God the Father is; therefore, it is only natural to ask the question, "Who is Jesus Christ?”
What is “Christ”. The term is a title, not a surname, meaning the anointed one or expected person for a particular job - in this case saving humanity.
Jesus is the face of God - Jesus (the) Christ is the Son of God; God in human form. The Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 1:15 that “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Jesus is the physical face of God who created the heavens and the Earth – the God who dwells in His believers' hearts today.
Jesus came to Earth to save humanity from our sins – Luke 1:30-33 tells us that “You (Mary) will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.” Jesus (who is God) came to Earth from Heaven to save humanity from living a life of destruction and death so that we can have eternal life in Him.
Jesus came so we could have access to God – John 14:6 explains the fact that when we believe in Jesus the Son, we are able to have a relationship with God the Father (who is one). Without Jesus, we would not be able to pray to God and have a direct connection to Him. Here is a dense snapshot of what Jesus was like:

Dear God, I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you that through Him I can see what it means to follow you. I pray that as I learn more about Jesus, you will help me develop His characteristics to become more like you.
